Explanation


Nowadays the use of technology applies for everything we do. Wherever we look at there is use of technology, so that we can say that everything we use deals with technologies. But what about teaching with technologies? Well, the ideal answer is that education is including technology as well. But it is not as advanced as the rest of the daily living.However, there is an increased where teacher are more self-confidence not just to use techonology, but also to integrate it into their planifications and classes themselves.


In this work, I prepared a unit based on "Transportation" with the aim of improving and training the four abilities altogether with the present simple, past simple and future simple. The question shoul be "how?" what has to do with the integration of technologies and internet resources.

As the Virtual Learning Environment (EVAs in Spanish) needs, this planification deals with a community level, in which there is a mixture of face-to-face classes and online interactions. In this way, students are able to surf on internet with boundaries the teacher gives, and also can express themselves in face-to-face activities.

Surfing on the internet, they have the chance to watch videos on internet, make comments inside the blog, "play" at the same time they learn in pages such as The British Council and National Geographic, amon others. Appling face-to-face activities, the students have the possibily to express in front of their classmates and teachers in a "normal" way of communication with the aim of improving oral and listening abilities in a traditional way which is usefull for daily life.

Future transportation

Check the video from youtube, choose one of the future transportations presented and then answer the following questions:

  1. How do you think it will change the people's lives?
  2. Will it be helpfull? or not?
  3. Create imaginatively a kind of future transportation and describe how it will be and howmany years time it will be geting used by users.

How to create the story?


Using prezi, you must create a story with  at least 3 of the transports presented in no more than 10 slides. Use just images on each slide and a short sentence to describe the story using past simple.

Goal of the unit: Students are going to be able to deal with different kinds of transport around the world, using present simple, past simple and future.

  • Argue why some transports are better than others.
  • Can imagine of the future transports and explain them.

The course is constituted of 30 students This unit will last three clasess of 90 minutes each one.
